Lewis was a prominent man, and he was married a few times in his life. His first marriage was with Katherine Reeves Royce, and they exchanged vows in 1928. Unfortunately, despite welcoming a daughter together, they went in separate ways in 1932 after their divorce.

Lewis met another lady, Elizabeth S. Carpenter, and they married for a short while before they also parted ways. In 1976, Lewis met Aileen Wuornos, who was twenty years old and residing in Florida.

The Yacht president was 69 years old at the time, and his relationship with Aileen grew quickly. The lovebirds went to the altar, and they exchanged vows after knowing each other for a short time through his business.

Although Lewis never talked about his relationship with his third wife, it was surrounded by controversies because of the vast age difference, but that was not all. The relationship was for benefit, and Aileen entered into the marriage because of the money she was receiving. On the other hand, Lewis wanted a good-looking young woman ready by his side, and it worked well for them.

However, the relationship did not last long because Aileen proved to be aggressive. Aileen Wuornos was the first woman in the 20th century to be identified as a serial killer. She killed several unsuspecting men, and every opportunity that she got, she used it to rob with violence, killing the victims.

It is reported that she robbed and murdered seven of her clients from 1989 to 1990 while she was a prostitute on the streets of Florida.
