Early Life

Quentin Tarantino was born on March 27, 1963, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to parents Tony Tarantino and Connie Pender. He is the only child. His father came from an Italian ancestry and was also a known producer and actor. His mother met his father in Los Angeles and both got married right away. However, their marriage was brief as well and the couple got divorced. After the divorce of his parents, Quentin and his mother went back to Knoxville but returned to Los Angeles again in 1966.

Connie got married again in Los Angeles to Curtis Zastoupil. His stepfather was a great influence on Tarantino’s passion for films by bringing him along to various movie screenings.
