Early Life

Originally born as Sir Richard Starkey MBE, Ringo Starr was born on July 7, 1940, in Dingle, Liverpool. His parents are Elsie Gleave and Richard Starkey. He is an only child. Before he was born, his parents loved going out and dancing in local ballroom circuits. But when he came to this world, everything changed for his parents and were no longer able to enjoy free time. 

His mother became overprotective of him and his father lost interest in his family. His father, fondly called as Big Ritchie, spent much of his time at pubs dancing and drinking.
