Tabitha Claire Raskin is a celebrity child, best known as the daughter of United States Representative Jamie Raskin. Tabitha’s father is an attorney and politician who has served as the U.S. representative for Maryland’s 8th congressional district since 2017. Before that, he served in the Maryland State Senate from 2007 to 2016 as a member of the Democratic Party. The girls also had a brother named Thomas Bloom Raskin, born on 30 January 1995. Unfortunately, Thomas took his own life on 31 December 2020. At 25, Thomas had accomplished a great deal. He was also a political writer and published essays in The Nation, among other media organizations. He was also a law student and a teaching assistant at Havard Law School, and he donated to charities from his teaching salary in his students’ names.

Tommy, as his father called him, was tormented by depression from a young age. In his farewell note, Thomas wrote: “Please forgive me. My illness won today. Look after each other, the animals, and the global poor. All my love, Tommy.” His family and community suffered a significant loss when he committed suicide.

Tabitha’s mother was born on 15 April 1961 and graduated from Amherst College and Havard University. Sarah Bloom worked as an associate at Arnold & Porter and as counsel for the Senate Banking Committee. She was nominated by President Barak Obama to the Federal Reserve Board and was confirmed as the board’s governor by the United States Senate in September 2010.

She then became the deputy secretary at the United States Department of the Treasury in March 2014, a position she held until January 2017. She was elected eo the board of directors for Reserve Trust Company in May 2017. In 2022, President Joe Biden nominated her to succeed Randa; Quarles as vice chair for supervision of the Federal Resource. She withdrew her nomination in March due to opposition from Republican senators.

Tabitha’s father was born on 13 December 1962 and is an attorney and a politician. Jamin Ben Raskin started his political career when he was elected as a Maryland state senator in November 206. He became a U.S. House of Representatives member from Maryland’s 8th District in January 2017. He was the lead impeachment manager during the second impeachment of President Donald Trump.

Raskin’s 2022 book, Unthinkable: Trauma, Truth, and the Trials of American Democracy, narrates his late son’s life and preparation for the impeachment trial.
