For those who are just starting out with the system, Nintendo Switch Secrets are yet to be revealed. This March 2023, the Nintendo Switch will have been around for about 6 years, and it is still going strong. Even I still want to purchase a Switch, so ignore this.
Like with any other console, not all fans find certain hacks and techniques to be useful. I’ll go through some of the Nintendo Switch’s lesser-known features in this article, including some Nintendo Switch online memberships you might not be aware of.

Dark Mode
Fans of dark mode need not fear because the switch also has a dark mode. If you have a switch, you presumably already know that the display is overly bright by default. If you are not cautious at night, it could also make your eyes blind.
If you want to use the dark mode, go to System Settings > Themes and select Basic Black. The games themselves won’t change, but the home screen and every menu page will have a black color scheme.
Turn on the TV with the Switch
When docked, the Switch can switch on your smart TV. When you press the Joy-Con’s power button to turn on your switch, your smart TV will automatically turn on as well.
You may easily modify it in your switch’s system settings if you don’t like this function. Go to System Settings > TV Settings > Match TV Power State and set it to Off.
Reconfigure the Controls to Your Favorite
This Switch setting is a relatively recent update. Your controller’s buttons can be remapped to a different layout if you so want.
Go to System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Change Button Mapping, where you can remap both the Joy-Cons and the Pro Controller.
For a more comfortable gaming experience, choose a controller and you can modify what each button accomplishes or flip the angle of the joystick. Each Joy-Con’s button input may be adjusted for both horizontal and vertical gaming.
Zero storage? Save it to your Nintendo Switch for later
The LCD Switch comes with the OS and 32GB of hard disk space. Even though the OLED model increases that to 64GB, it’s still simple to run out of space, particularly if the majority of your games are digital downloads.
To free up hard drive space, one simple approach is to archive the games you are no longer playing. You can do this from the main menu by highlighting a game and pressing the + button, then selecting Manage Software > Archive Software from the drop-down menu.
Secrets of the Nintendo Switch: The Highlight Reel
The highlights of our games are often recorded by our gamers. Fortunately, the switch lets you record your games, but you can only do it for a very brief period of time.
Holding down the capture button will cause the Switch to save the last 30 seconds of gameplay for recording. Just enough to save a fun moment for your needs.
